Haunts
>Haunts # 2 – The Pool
>
Over the past couple of days we have been recording ‘We Should Be Swimming’ in Miloko’s The Pool. Amazingly, none of us realised what a slice of serendipity this was until we actually started running the song, at which point many very poor jokes began to flow (ahem). I would write some down but they’re of the tired, boring, slightly watered down (double ahem) variety rather than the ‘bad funny’ variety.
Anyhow, as a slightly tardy continuation of this blog’s series ‘Haunts’, I thought I’d give a little low down of The Pool. The live room here is enormous, littered with rare synths, drums, amps, as well as a beautiful 1962 P-bass, which Iain has been caressing for the past few days. There’s also a rumour that Lana Del Ray is mixing next door, although we’re now sure it’s a rumour after spending an unfeasible amount of time hanging in the corridors and still catching no sight of her (Lana, if you’re reading this and at The Pool, pop your head in). Anyhow, here’s a few pics. We’ll upload a vid once the hard work has been done.
Toodle loo

P.S – Many thanks to Henry Crallan, co-founder of Moloko Studios.
